The
Mission
Story Ripples is the impact division where certain projects that we work on have an adjacency to social issues in our world today, and we partner with organizations to help those individuals and communities. Causes such as treatment for brain cancer, support for refugee and orphaned children, support for women who are in abusive situations or need reproductive health care, and support for drought-stricken areas or communities with limited access to clean water.
All stories have the power to inspire and move people to action, at LA Story Studio we strive to not only entertain but to deliver stories that highlight issues that others are afraid to talk about. It’s those very issues and people that are affected and impacted, that deserve to have the resources they need to live and enjoy life more fully.
The Benefit of I.P. Without the Hassles
The reason studios clamor for IP and reboots is because they have a built in audience.The story doesn’t matter, it’s the audience. We align our stories with non-profit partners and the communities they serve, those numbers and that good will bring an exponentially larger audience and impact.

FEARSOME CREATURES LEGEND OF THE SQUONK
Our lead has a rough start in her life as a bullied orpahn before she grows into a recluse with her sights set on capturing the legendary Squonk cryptid in hopes it will change her life. Our impact partners include SAVE THE CHILDREN, and THE GO CAMPAIGN who both bring an audience of millions from their networks and constituents.
CLEO
CLEO - THE LAST PHARAOH
Our story focuses on the historical icon Cleopatra VII, as a teenager, and as one of the most brilliant minds ever to lead a country. Her intelligence was that of a polymath, spanning many disciplines and part of her story involves efforts to solve Egypt’s drough problem, (before she embarks on an epic journey that will see her appointed as pharaoh). Our impact partners include THE SOLUTIONS PROJECT, UNESCO, and THE NATIONAL GIRLS PROJECT.
SANTARIA
SANTARIA
Our story follows a young Honduran girl who is separated from her parents at the border; that horror unleashes the film’s true horror that follows her to her foster family in the U.S. during Christmas. Our impact partners are advocates and provide legal support children refugees.

SUPPPORT SYSTEM
Our story follows a single mother deparately trying to collect on child support she’s legally owed, her extreme efforts turn her into a sought after vigilante for others who are fighting to collect child support. Our impact partners cover legal fees for those who are owed billions of dollars today.
Common sense
The Book
that started the revolution
We’re not talking Thomas Paine’s COMMON SENSE, but rather the book that LA Story Studio’s Laurie Ashbourne wrote that dared to rethink the way films are produced and marketed. The book that takes that “something” that every story is about and aligns it with the community, and redefines what it means to “bring an audience.”
